Artisan Real Rust is a TWO STEP process that produces real rust patina on just about any surface. Make sure you purchase Part 2: Activator also.

To Use: Simply paint on a generous base coat, and when touch dry, liberally paint on the activator.
Note: I also recommend using the Dark Prime & Prep as a base coat.

The rusting process will begin in under 30 minutes and continue to rust naturally just like iron does.

The reaction can be accelerated by lightly misting with water as the surface becomes dry. As this is a real rust patina, Artisan recommends sealing with Artisan Flat Matte Sealer if the item is to be used indoors or left outside on light coloured flooring to prevent rust stains developing.

Artisan recommends the use of gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses as the base coat has fine metal filings, and the Activator is mildly corrosive.
